  • When I came to Canterbury I already had bad experiences with taking my tests in london as well as instructors. So i basically was put off
driving until my friend in Canterbury recommended the Tarmac Guru to me. Mark had helped me a lot with driving and not only that but discipline which is a life skill and calming down my nerves before the test.

Mark is genuine good teacher. Which is hard to find at times because some teachers are simply in it for the money and dont care about your circumstances. Thats the reason why i made the effort to travel to Canterbury for lessons with him so that i could get the best lessons. I recommend the Tarmac Guru for beginners and people that had failed their driving test before. The teaching is fun and different plus you meet an amazing person too! :)

  • First of all, I recommend Mark wholeheartedly; he teaches efficiently, wisely, and all for a good price. The lessons are a pleasure, with discussions varying from the highway code to the Valley of the Kings! His confidence and empathy will go along way to ensuring you are relaxed and confident behind the wheel. Give him a try and you'll be writing a testimony yourself within a few short months. Thanks Mark

  • I would highly recommend the Tarmac Guru Driving School to anyone thinking of learning to drive. The Tarmac Guru is patient, friendly and fun to learn with. He helped me build my confidence from a very nervous beginner to a confident driver. I passed my theory test the first time and my practical test first time with four minor faults.

  • When I started I had built a real fear of driving after failing two tests and leaving two other instructors. Mark (aka The Tarmac Guru ) completely rebuilt my confidence and I can't thank him enough! I passed my test yesterday but the most important thing is that I now actually enjoy driving. Mark was really patient and easy-going but also clear and direct. He made a real effort to have regular lessons with me, especially in the month before my test, which helped enormously.

  • I would like to say a big thank you to my instructor Mark Seager for helping me pass my driving test first time round. Mark always made lessons enjoyable and not only did he make me fully prepared for my test, he also made me fully prepared for driving by myself. I would definitely recommend The Tarmac Guru School of Motoring!

  • After passing my driving test, I would like to say a big thank you to Mark for teaching me to drive with patience and humor. I feel so confident now and it is all down to his instruction. He made lessons a pleasure as we drove, talked and laughed our way around town. I am a very happy lady.

  • Mark really encourages not getting things correct once and moving on, but being able to be able to drive smoothly in every drive. I highly recommend Mark as he makes you understand why you yourself get things wrong, whether it is nerves or not allowing yourself time to prepare for a situation from what the road ahead is telling you.
